GT STRUDL Advanced Analysis
This course has been extensively
revised and is for those engineers who have taken Basic Frame Analysis
or, through experience, are competent in Basic GT STRUDL capabilities.
The first half day of the course will focus on general structural modeling
principles and the finite element capabilities of GT STRUDL. The
second half of the course will focus on the nonlinear analysis, elastic
buckling, superelement, and planar and spatial constraint capabilities
of GT STRUDL.
Topics include the fundamentals
of finite element analysis, sources of error, modeling considerations,
interpretation of results, nonlinear geometry, nonlinear supports, nonlinear
cable element, advantages of using superelements, and the application of
elastic buckling and the constraint capabilities.
The course begins at 8:15 AM
and ends at 4:30 PM.
